Raisin-Oatmeal Scones from Susan Brown-Draudt's "30-Minute Meals" Ingredients : 1/2 cup of raisins soaked in hot water while doing everything else 2 cups flour 1/4 cup sugar - more for Americans 1 tbsp baking powder 2 cups of rolled oats 1/4 cup butter cut into small bits 2 eggs 1/3 cup milk or half and half Procedure : Put flour, sugar, baking powder, oats and butter in a large bowl and mix by hand so it becomes crumbly. Add eggs and milk and raisins (drain first) and keep mixing until everything the dough holds together. Add more milk if too dry and more eggs if too crumbly. Break dough into 3 balls and place on a greased tray. Push each ball down to 3/4 inch height. Score with a knife prior to cooking so slices will separate. Bake at 400F (205C) for 15-20 minutes.
