Proceed through this list until the printing resumes as normal;
  1. Get a piece of paper to note down the steps you take.
  2. Push the down arrow key on the HP2200 to cancel the current job. Give it a second.
  3. Cycle the power on the HP2200 and the Axis print server by the HP2200. The power switch for the HP is on the left hand side near the back. To cycle power on the Axis server, pull the plug.
  4. Restart the CUPS print server software on metaprint. Log on as root and type rccups restart at a command prompt.
  5. Remove the offending jobs from the print queue. From any computer attached to the internal network, open a web browser and go to http://10.0.1.101:631/jobs and use the web interface to cancel the job.
  6. Reset the Axis print server. From any browser on the network go to http://10.0.1.104, click the admin button, enter the username root and the password bilayer and click the reset button.
  7. Remove all jobs from the print queue and repeat step 3.
  8. If you get to this step and you're still out of luck, call an expert, and tape a broken note to the printer.
If the problem is serious, please leave a copy of your notes on Dan's desk in 164.
